❌ Event Canceled – Blessing of the Fleet (Originally Saturday, May 10)

Due to this weekend’s wet and wild weather forecast, the 87th Annual Blessing of the Fleet has officially been canceled. 🌧️⛔

The Brunswick Downtown Development Authority made the tough call to prioritize the safety of our community, vendors, and participants. While we’re all bummed to miss the shrimp boats, Squirt Gun, and all of the festivities, we’ll just count down the days until next year’s celebration.

🍝 Coming Soon: AGIO Brings Italian Flair to Brunswick!

The Halyard Restaurant Group—famed for St. Simons Island favorites like Halyards, Tramici, and La Plancha—is expanding to Brunswick with their newest venture: AGIO. Set to open at the DoubleTree hotel on Glynco Parkway, AGIO promises a delectable menu of Italian cuisine, including pastas and flame-grilled steaks.

The restaurant will feature a 126-seat dining room, a 20-seat bar, two banquet halls, and outdoor seating shared with the hotel's courtyard. While hotel guests may get a sneak peek starting the week of May 5, the public grand opening is anticipated for May 12 or May 19.
